The Sound House was a mobile sound installation created by artist, Niamh O'Brien, in collaboration with the 5th and 6th class students of St. John's Parochial School, Tralee. Inside a child's play-house the creators placed a number of buttons which triggered music, sound and stories written and recorded by the students. The installation was for the junior classes of the school and so the process was bookended with periods of research and observation focused on the installation users and their particular tastes and needs.
